Heathrow Air Quality Working Group (HAQWG)

The Heathrow Air Quality Working Group is made up of representatives from councils, agencies, and organisations located in Heathrow’s neighbouring communities. The objectives of the group are to facilitate positive dialogue, allow members to provide updates on local progress, facilitate participation in joint projects, and raise areas for concern.

Work plan - Five pillars of activity 

  1. Monitoring and Reporting
    Air quality monitoring and associated annual and quarterly reporting, emissions inventory and modeling.

  2. Research
    Research requirements discussed and projects developed by Heathrow or in partnership between stakeholders.

  3. Policy
    Knowledge sharing and updates on policy developments and formulation of collective positions where possible.

  4. Projects
    Air quality related projects managed by HAL or in collaboration with HAQWG and other stakeholders.

  5. Communication
    Input to effective community-facing communications and engagement on air quality.
